Adventures in Arda
Héahclif is a small hillside village in eastern Rohan. The town lays along side a small tributary of the Entwash River just north of the Great West Road. The town is situated on a small rocky outcrop of a hill and is protected by a crude wooden palisade. There are two minor gates on the East and West ends of the wall and there is a main gate in the North. The town has a few local soldiers who man the towers when trouble is near but all of the town’s riders are summoned to join the Third Muster during times of need.
On Harvest Day in 2758, the party discovered this town when they were set upon by a column of the third muster who was going to defend the town from a Dunlending attack. Although the party aided in the defense, many of the townsfolk were killed and the town was only partially saved.
